For convenience, a 3-cup plastic container fits snugly inside the grater to catch food. The grater is calibrated in 1/2-cup gradations, has a lid for storage, and is dishwasher-, microwave-, and freezer-safe. There are three grating blades: fine for breadcrumbs, cheese, chocolate, and nutmeg; medium for pulping fruits and vegetables; and coarse for hard vegetables like potatoes and beets.
